Broken Arrow, OK, USA, May 29, 2025 | International Council for Machinery Lubrication (ICML), the global leader in certification and education for industrial lubrication and oil analysis professionals, has appointed Bryan Coggins as Chief Executive Officer, effective May 22. Coggins brings over three decades of senior leadership experience that has spanned operations, finance, and strategic development functions in manufacturing, industrial services, and capital-intensive industries.

A seasoned executive, Coggins has served in board, C-level, advisory, and analyst roles across diverse sectors including industrial maintenance, manufacturing, and oilfield operations, in contexts ranging from venture-backed startups to large vertical companies and mature, privately-held businesses.

“We are delighted to bring Bryan on board as our new CEO,” said Roger Story, Chairman of the ICML Board. “His expertise gives us a competitive edge in the changing lubrication landscape. Leveraging his C-suite experience, Bryan will connect industry leaders with the mission of lubrication excellence and the demonstrable value that ICML provides.”

Coggins most recently held the dual roles of Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer at OBEX Company, a manufacturer and distributor of concrete moisture control treatment products. Prior to that, he held executive roles at Sky Research, a contractor specializing in unexploded ordnance remediation, and UpWind Solutions, a utility-scale wind turbine O&M company. He has also held financial and operations leadership roles with Highway Products / Pavati Marine, Big R Stores, Harry & David, and Hewlett-Packard Company.

His early career at ARCO Alaska saw him managing financial planning and analysis for North America’s largest oil field at Prudhoe Bay, where he supported multi-million-dollar capital budgeting and turnaround strategies, which included probabilistic modeling of optimized turnaround scheduling intended to reduce both maintenance expenses and failure risks, while extending capital asset lifespans.

“I am grateful for the board’s confidence in appointing me to this role,” said Coggins. “I look forward to engaging ICML staff as well as current and future business partners, as we collectively highlight the extraordinary value proposition represented by ICML-fostered standards and certifications.”
