COMING SOON! After April 15, you can sit our new MLE (Machinery Lubrication Engineer) certification exam for reliability and lubricated asset management professionals. No formal engineering degree required! The MLE is strategically mapped to our new ICML 55 standard—also due in April—and is ideal for those with responsibility to guide organizations to achieve ICML 55 certification as a tactical step toward ISO 55001.
Exam sessions will commence after April 15 this year, so you can start planning now to get one on your calendar. But please note: due to duration differences, MLE may impact how exam sessions will be handled with other certifications, so contact us to make sufficient arrangements.
Hi there,
The new MLE exam, can you advise what course material you need to prepare for the exam, or do you offer the MLE as a course?
Also, can you apply for this certification if you have no previous lubrication training/certification?
Thanks
Hi, Derek,
There is no requirement for previous certifications or formal training for MLE, but its body of knowledge overlaps with MLA and MLT. You can see the MLE body of knowledge (and the complete list of source publications) on the MLE page of our exam site. Meanwhile, some independent training companies are likely to develop optional preparation courses or material to assist MLE candidates.
